As of version 2.3 most settings are edited with the settings page in the app. If you have not got the latest version you should update now.
From left to right above.
- Access settings from main menu
- GymAware settings
- Gymaware Lite settings
What are all the settings?
Demo Mode- (Lite Version only) Select this mode if you just want to measure continuously without saving data for reach athlete. Its great if you just want to give feedback to athletes power or velocity feedback while they train.
Body Mass % – Here you can set the percentage of body weight you wish to add to the bar weight for calculating power in jumps. Some practitioners like to set this below 100% as a portion(the bit below the knees) of the body mass is not being accelerated during the jump. Anther common setting here is 90%. What ever you do decide on, you should stick to, as this setting will change your power readings. Note that you can later edit this on the GymAware server should you decide to change.
Mass Entry- (Lite Version only) You can elect to enter lift mass and body mass in pounds. Note that all calculated values Power, Force, Velocity etc will be displayed in SI units.
No Movement Timeout – When the tether is motionless for this length of time the device will end recording for the current set and save the results.
Sound – Set the sounds for the audible feedback feature here.
Angle Measurement – You can turn off the angle of lift measurement here. You may wish to turn this off in certain research applications or if you anticipate minimal angle error (like in a smith machine) or if the angle sensor is not calibrated correctly or malfunctioning.
Display User Image – You can disable the display of athlete photos if you either want to condense the athlete selection or if you don’t have athlete photos and wish to remove the default thumbnail display.
GymAware now has (since version 2.3) only two settings available in your iOS settings page.
To get to the settings tap on the settings icon and select GymAware settings.
